Code of Conduct for Students, Teachers and Administrative Staff:
Teaching is a noble profession and plays a very important role in nation building. The teachers have all the time stayed 'Role Model' for the students as well as the society. In a developing country like India, a teacher has played an important role in shaping the character and career of the students. Other than this, the noble character of a teacher has an all time best impression in the society at large. All of these are expected to contribute a long way to make our country an energetic and strong nation. All the faculty members are expected to display good behaviour so that the students consider their teachers as their role model. This Code of Conduct is intended as a guide and a help to all staff of GGDC, Keshiary. It sets out standards of conduct which staff are expected to follow when within, or representing the College. This code is not exhaustive but is written to assist staff and it is important that staff should take advice and guidance if necessary. All Staff members are requested to read this Code carefully and consider the issues which it raises. The Principal should ensure that all staff are aware of the Code's contents and are fully briefed on its implications. Investigations of alleged breaches of this Code will be covered under the College's Disciplinary procedures and related codes of practice. Following are the code of conduct applicable for each faculty of GGDC, Keshiary.
CODE OF CONDUCT FOR STUDENTS:
- Students should behave well with Teaching and Non-Teaching staff of the College.
- Students must observe the notices displayed on the notice-board. College administration will not be responsible if any loss is recurred due to not observing the notice displayed on the notice board.
- Students should carry with them valid Identity cards in college campus or representing the college at any other place. If demanded. At any time by the teaching or non-teaching staff of the college she will have to produce it.
- Possession of mobile phones during the teaching hours in Academic Departments is strictly prohibited.
- Students should take care of college property and should not be involved in damaging the property.
- Admission would be scrutinised and liable to be cancelled if any student behaves against the rules and decorum of the college.
- Student's attendance for lectures, practicals and examinations is a must. 75% attendance in the class is a must. Severe action will be taken against the absentees.
- Students should not make any change in the documents like Bonafide, T.C., Identity Card etc. issued by the college.
- Admission will be rejected for the students having misbehaviour record in the examination or any other activity in the college.
- Students should return the books on or before the due date and take care of library books and materials.
- Students should pay the fees in the account section and preserve the receipts.
- The students will be reported against if his/her attendance for lectures and practicals are found to be not satisfactory.
- Spitting, smoking and throwing bits of paper inside the College campus are harmful and must be avoided. Students should refrain from possessing, consuming or distributing alcohol, harmful drugs, narcotics, gutkhas, tobacco or items related to tobacco (in any form), and chewing gums. Any violation of these orders will lead to disciplinary action.
- Possessing firecrackers of any kind in the hostel and College campus is strictly prohibited.
- Scribbling on the desks or the black board or on the walls of the College is strictly prohibited.
- All vehicles should be parked in the allotted place. Vehicles found parked in unauthorised places shall be impounded. Use of bicycles and other eco-friendly vehicles is appreciated.
- While attending any College functions, the students should remain disciplined.
- The college maintains a “Zero Tolerance” policy towards any incident of ragging. Students should abstain from such immoral acts and develop an environment of mutual cooperation.
- Students may draw attention of the college administration about specific grievances by dropping letters in the grievance boxes installed in the college or by reporting the matter to their respective mentee.
